Intro Classes

Beginner sewing classes for kids ages 7–12 at my Oakland studio — no machine, no experience needed. A great starting point for kids and families new to sewing.

My story

Continuing a Family Tradition

I started sewing when I was seven years old — my mother taught me, and her mother taught her. The first thing I ever made was an outfit for my stuffed animals, and I've been sewing ever since.

I love making clothes that perfectly fit my body and my personality, mending broken things, and creating fabric art. Along the way, I noticed how many people never got the chance to learn this skill at all: how to hem a pair of pants, thread a needle, fix a hole, or make something brand new.

This is a place to learn with your hands, at your own pace, without needing to know anything going in. Parents and kids can learn side by side, or kids can stitch alongside their friends — because the only thing more fun than sewing is sewing with friends.
